Japan Tour october 2014

This year i will be travelling to Japan to hook up with my friend and colleague Yuichiro Tokuda, a japanees alto player and singer. I met him two years ago when i was on tour in China with the dutch band State of Monc.
I will do a 13 concert Japan tour with him and other great musicians from japan. There are some cool festivals and jazzclubs there and i am realy looking forward to this journey!

We will be playing city’s like Tokyo, Shiba, Yokohama, Osaka and more.

About Yuichiro

an emerging star in the Japanese music scene.
After studying at the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, he returned to Japan and released his first album which was acclaimed as ”the cutting edge of the present progressive form of jazz” in Jazz Life magazine.

In 2008, Tokuda received an award as the “New Face of the Year in Art & Culture” from the Chiba-City Government, the first time ever for a jazz artist.
Every year he perform in Japan’s most prestigious jazz festival “Yokohama Jazz Promenade” and also perform at many festivals in all over the world.
